I have the windmill and will try my best to explain how it's built.

There is a main support that Felicity holds with a crossbar about half-way up. Attached to the cross bar are 2 (one on each side) small "sticks" with an "X" at the top which supports 2 white flags. (The "X" pieces face upwards and spin) The "X" piece is attached to the "stick" piece with a tiny black screw from the top so it can turn. The flags are attached (perminately) to the "X" piece with another "stick" piece that is about the diameter of a round toothpick.

Thinking from the center support and going up from the cross bar piece there is a second cross bar that goes in the opposite direction with "X"'s attached with the small screws. However these "X" pieces face outward instead of upward.

Again, thinking up from the 2nd cross piece is the top of the windmill with a black and white top wooden piece with a green flag at the tip top. This piece does not move, but has a "fan blade" shaped piece facing frontwards that does spin with the same black screw attachement as the other moveable pieces.

The windmill looks very delicate and I have been afraid (so far) to display it. It would be hard to repair but not impossible. If you don't care to have the pieces move, it would be even easier to repair. This is a very cute piece and I can't wait to get brave enough to let Felicity hold it!
